BESEA Reads on 14 and 15 July, 10:30am-4pm

"BESEA Reads" is a series of free informal play reading and discussion sessions exploring contemporary BESEA approaches to the traditional Western theatre canon, as well as the wider ESEA and diaspora ESEA theatre canon. 

Our next session will be a special edition geared towards helping BESEA playwrights who are applying for the Climate Playwriting Prize. Over two days, we will read 8 excerpts of plays being submitted for the prize and will give feedback. You can read more about the table reads here

We will break from 12:45-13:45pm for lunch and there are food halls nearby as well as a microwave in our offices that you are welcome to use. Space is limited so sign-up is essential, and spots will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis. Everyone is welcome to sign up .

The Climate Playwriting Prize is a partnership between Shakespeare’s Globe, Climate Spring and Fern Culture, in association with Chichester Festival Theatre, Exeter Northcott Theatre, Leeds Playhouse, Lyric Theatre Belfast, Mercury Theatre Colchester,
New Earth, Pentabus and tiata fahodzi.
