Are you East or Southeast Asian (ESEA) and living in the North East of England?
Do you have an interest in theatre and performing arts? Or is theatre something totally new for you but you want to try something different and learn more?
Would you like to meet ESEAs with similar interests and watch a play together?
New Earth Theatre would like to invite you to join us as our guests to watch Underdog: The Other Other Brontë by Sarah Gordon, a production by Northern Stage and the National Theatre, at 7pm Wednesday 12th June at Northern Stage (with drinks and introductions at 6:15pm).
As we expand our work into the North East of England we’re keen to meet members of the ESEA community living, working or studying in the region.
We have a limited number of FREE tickets for members of the local East and Southeast Asian community. This is an opportunity to watch an award winning comedy play about the sibling rivalry between the Brontë sisters starring Gemma Whelan (Game of Thrones, Gentleman Jack), meet staff from New Earth and Northern Stage.
You can watch the trailer for Underdog here
About New Earth Theatre
New Earth Theatre is the UK’s leading East and South East Asian Theatre Company. We present and develop work with British East and South East Asian (BESEA*) artists that asks key questions of identity, of the world we live in and our place in that world. We produce touring plays and readings across the year, nurture ESEA talent through our Academy courses, as well as engage artists with communities, museums and schools.
The sign-up for free tickets for ESEAs is now closed.
