As part of our 30th anniversary season, we have collaborated with seven venues across the country to launch their Artist Incubator, a nine-month programme providing a cohort of British East and Southeast Asian talent with support to develop their practice. It is an invitation for theatre makers to explore traditional artforms whilst moving away from archaic ideas of authenticity, embracing ESEA and British performance culture in the here-and-now.
Join us as we showcase the work-in-progress pieces developed from our Incubator, fusing western theatre styles with heritage artforms including Filipino dance, Rakugo comedy and Chinese street puppetry.
